Students in this group investigated the experience of small business owners in the Olneyville neighborhood. With each interview, the group became less certain that one, overarching narrative would be enough to display the range of experiences that they heard when speaking with business owners. While some business owners were largely satisfied with their engagement with the city and the business licensing process more generally, others were unhappy, often expressing frustration over city processes.
