BANGALORE DESIGN EVENINGS

The Bangalore Design Evenings is an interdisciplinary group of designers, engineers, architects, educators, and social scientists that meets weekly to discuss design, entrepreneurship, and social impact. As a user research advisor for the group, I facilitated three workshops on user-centered design research for 30+ participants (from various private and public industries like software design, academia, arts, engineering, etc.). I provided more in-depth guidance for two project teams—one working on hospital efficiency and another attempting to reduce urban homelessness in Bangalore—on field research methods, interview techniques, and survey design. For the team addressing hospital efficiency, I assisted in the creation of a user survey instrument (to be administered to hospital patients and staff) to understand hospital processes and patient concerns, and, ultimately, develop solutions that improve hospital efficiency and effectiveness.
